Rob continues to develop his motorsports driving experience and motorsports design and development skills in the US. As a recent graduate of MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering) with High Honors specializing in mechanical engineering, Rob is now putting that to work in an industry where detail is everything.
Rob’s interest in racing has come from an already well-developed open wheel race driving background. Starting in Karting at the age of 10 and winning several championships and earning the rank of number 1 in the US and tied for second in the US and Canada, by Briggs and Stratton. Rob was also the youngest to get his wheel-to-wheel road race license at the age of 14 in the MCSCC also recognized by SCCA and NASA. (It should be noted that dirt oval and asphalt oval does not require professional schooling or licensing at the entry level.)
Rob has driven in many armature and professional series already including qualifying and finishing 4th in one of the most contested dry and very wet weather races in the 2020 SCCA Runoffs at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. noted by the announcers as “the Fastest Class” and “most prestigious” series out there. Prior to this Rob had been the youngest invited driver in Formula Continental with SVRA. Rob also has raced all over the US, including racing and winning both days at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama with SCCA in the Formula Atlantic series. Rob also ran the SVRA series and national championship at COTA in Autin Texas. There have been other significant highlights winning the Championship in the Midwest Council of Sport Cars in the Formula A series. As Rob has been recognized by SVRA at the Mid-Ohio race in 2020 “these drivers are unlike other armature spots competitors. These guys must be as skilled as the pro drivers to drive the same professional level cars”. With his experience in both sprint racing and endurance racing he has hundreds of hours of seat time allowing him to hold track records at different tracks in different series over the last 9 years.
Rob can also point to holding MCSCC Track records in Formula Atlantic at Blackhawk Farms raceway IL setting the bar in 2020 in July breaking his own record 4 times in one race when he won the season finale as the Formula Atlantic Champion for 2020. The same weekend Rob was doing double duty by driving an endurance race in Wisconsin at Road America and set the all-time Champ Car fastest speed and Champ Car track record at Road America even with an exploded rear differential and broken front shock, to take an overall 3rd place finish over 2 days and 16 hours of racing. Rob not only set these records but even went from 37th to 1st in 6 laps on day one. Rob has raced in the Brian Redmen Weathertech International with a Win in 2019, the 2018 ITD Championship, Racer of The Year, and the 2017 Rookie of the year are some of the most meaningful in his early career.
In some of the most recent events Rob has driven the second pace car behind a good friend and coach, Al Unser Jr in the Vintage Indy Series at Road America in the Troy Indy Special with its owner and which very few others have driven, but most notably by Jay Leno.
Rob continues to get opportunities to drive and coach other drivers including Xfinity driver for Carl Long at Road America, several other drivers with Ferrari Challange Cars, and the Radical RXC.
In one of the biggest stages that Rob has driven in, has been on the Streets of Nashville along with the Indy Car weekend, when he qualified for and was accepted by Robby Gordon to drive in his Stadium Super Trucks. In 2024 and 2025 Rob continued to set new levels of racing excellence with a National Series 3rd place finish by racing 24 races across 6 locations from coast to coast in the inaugural season of the RUSH Auto works Rush SR series and in the initial development race in the RUSH SRX which was the first pro series car to have both Push to Pass (like Indy Car) AND Active Aero (Like F1) all in one platform. It was a 4 race weekend with Rob taking 1st in 3 of the 4 races and resulting in the First Place overall for the weekend. This was a very special recognition of his live engineering skill and driver skill in what was one of the most difficult events ever put on the track at Road Atlanta.
Rob continues to be a Brand Ambassador for every track and series he has run. Promoting his supporters, parts manufactures that he works with, and even getting his Swift 008 and Pro Formula Mazda car as downloaded versions in a few different race simulation games using Robs actual setup data.
Rob's goals include running in the FR Americas F3 series, Indy Pro 2000, and a dream to run the IMSA series car in several major events across the country with larger teams. He now has the education, and experience to earn a living not only driving for a major race team but also bringing his sponsor the expertise of his education, knowledge of engineering, Solid Works design, software data analysis, aerodynamics and CFD design capability, and more. having both the Theoretical understanding and his extensive seat time in the real world allow him to team up with the team principle and chief engineer to develop advanced handling, faster, and future looking technological innovation to be the best of the best in innovation.
